Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the JJ/WBGSP scholarship 2024, candidates must complete the following eligibility requirements:

Nationality: Be a national of a World Bank member country that is listed as entitled (Annex 1 of the guidelines). Dual nationality holders of developed countries are not eligible.

Professional Experience: Be employed in a full-time, paid position connected to development at the time of the application and have at least three years of paid development-related work experience attained after obtaining a bachelor’s degree. Employment must have arisen within the past six years.

Educational Background: Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent gotten at least three years before the application closing date.

Admissions: Have categorical acceptance (except for funding) into a master’s program that is part of the JJ/WBGSP contributing programs and is outside the candidates home country or country of residence.

World Bank Employees: Not be an Executive Director, staff, or close relative of an individual working at the World Bank Group in any capacity.

Application Process of JJ/WBGSP Scholarship 2025

The application for the JJ/WBGSP must be finished online through the official World Bank scholarship portal. The process involves:

Submission of Application: Fill in the online application form, which includes academic, personal, and professional details. Confirm you have uploaded all compulsory documents, including:

A completed CV according to the provided format.

Proof of employment in development-related work.

Scanned copies of your bachelor’s degree and any other progressive degrees.

Acceptance letter from a JJ/WBGSP participating master’s program.
